As many of you know, we are seeking new board members. It is essential that we get a new board of directors in place soon so that we may move ahead in planning our 2011 season. We CANNOT start a new season without a new board of directors. The 2011 registration for Football and Cheerleading is scheduled to take place in March of this year. That cannot happen without a Board of Directors.

If you have any interest in a position on the new board, please let us know. We will be electing new board members on Sunday, January 16th, 7:00pm at the South Park Community Center.

No youth sports league or organization can function properly without a board of directors. We need you to step up and volunteer. The new board positions will be defined once the board members have been elected. There are so many things that need to be accomplished prior to starting a new season. If you have any interest in helping this organization succeed, we need you to be on the board. A lot of you have asked over the years “How can I help? "What do you need?" This is what we need!! We need a board to oversee all of the following areas and much, much more. . . .

• Secretary
• Fundraising
• Publicity
• Recruiting
• Equipment Management
• Field Maintenance/Set up
• Concession Stand
• Apparel Sales
• Cheerleading Support
• League Representation at SSYFL Monthly Meetings
• League and Community Communications
